trapperg Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 I am a noob to the OSX world, so I could really use some advice on the following: I installed Jas 10.4.8 AMD/Intel SSE2/SS3 on my Gateway MX8711 laptop. There are three functions I have been unable to get to work: Wireless Card (Intel 100 Pro VE), sound, and the ethernet setup. I followed the instructions provided by this link - http://garrettguillotte.org/pmwiki/pmwiki....8711.Hackintosh. (1) when I drag the Sigmatel9250.txt file into AppleHDAPatcher nothing happens, (2) when I try to install Realtek osx driver RTL8187-L I get a dialog box message, "Please insert the Mac-MX8711 disc to continue installation." I have no idea what disc they are talking about, and (3) ethernet connection is not found by 10.4.8 network setup.
