tonyrevo
Hello, I have a DAW computer with a shared sample HD that keeps getting a dirty volume message every time I boot in win7600. One hard drive has 10.6.1 with and the other has Win7 64bit. I used to use Paragon NTFS on my old 10.5.6 but with the new snow I did the terminal commands posted in these forums to get NTFS showing in snow since Paragon is not needed anymore. I definaly think it's OSX snow because the old 10.5.6 with Paragon NTFS did not do this. QUESTION? What is your Preferred file system when you have a DAW that shares a sample or external HD? 1. Use Macdrive to access a OSX files system? 2. Use the terminal command for snow posted in the forums or Paragon to access NTFS on OSX? 3. Other. Any suggestions? I'm sure you will run into this in the future. Since snow 10.6.1, Win7 keeps rebuilding my HD and I'm afraid I'm going to loss data. Thanks, Tony
Leader86
Since I found some posts about native r/w NTFS support in Snow Leopard, I tried that way and it was a success for me! No data loss, no dirty partition and (it seems) full NTFS fs support. It only needs 1 line in fstab.
