JTG78
Certrain programs on my machine, notably the Bom file archive utility, Preview, DiskImageMounter, Stuffit, and several others have had instances where they refuse to launch when an associated file is double clicked and instead only bounce endlessly in the dock. I've found that I can often get around this by opening the application directly from its home directory and then accessing the file from within the app. Of course, all of this is fixed by a reboot, however, eventually the behavior comes back. Ideally, I would like to find the cause of this problem and eliminate it. It's annoying to have to reboot the machine or go through the process of opening the file from withing the application rather than simply double clicking on it. Any ideas on how to fix this?
