Hi I can't seem to get the mouse pointer to work well with the trackpad, it works fine with a usb mouse. Also, I have no sound and I have to plug in usb items before I turn the machine on. I need help in step by step fashion as I barely know what I am doing.

Thanks

Hi, If you look in the tutorials(genius) section there are a number of threads that will give all the help and guidance you need.

For the mouse you have 2 options appleps2 or voodoops2 the apple kext are in the install disc the voodoo you have to download. As far as usb is concerned you should have selected the usb fix in the install disc.

this also helped me to start after that it was a lot of trial and error until i got most of what i wanted to work some i am still trying to fix

  • Chipset Drivers >> Intel ICHx SATA Drivers
  • USB Drivers >> Patched USB Driver
  • Power Management >> Clamshell Display Support
  • Fixes and Patches >> USB Mount Fix
  • PS/2 Device Support >> PS/2 Keyboard Fix
  • DSDT Patches >> Patch DSDT
  • AppleSMBIOS Patch >> AppleSMBIOS-27 Rev6 MacBook

When you are asking for help try and supply as much info as you can system specs what you installed ect as this will help others to help you.
