tinux
Hi Before this i could boot ok then since i touched the boot.plist in order to boot into 32bit kernel i can't boot without typing something like -v.....otherwise the screen stays where it is unless i do something I am getting really fed with booting . everytime i boot using chameleon2 rc3 . I have to type arch=i386-legacy to boot into 32 bit kernel I added the entry boot.plist in chameleon and it did not work and then I added it onto the main plist on snow partition and still did not work and since then i removed it as in below and i can't boot without either typing -v or arch=i386-legacy otherwise nothing happens. and when i do i still get error saying . ---error starting your system re-pausing 5 seconds.. then it boots. This is the boot. plist from chameleon extra ------------------------ <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">'>http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> </dict> </plist> ------------------------ and this one is from main partition ------------------------ <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v</string> </dict> </plist> ------------------------------------------- Any help is much appreciated. Chris_sirhC
I always just put the arch=i386 in the boot.plist Kernel Flags for the /Extra folder <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>arch=i386</string> Seems to work..
