SnowLeper
Sorry if this got covered before, I can't find anything specifically on the issue I am running into. I setup my hackintosh following the Lifehacker article guide found here: http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build...start-to-finish. All went well but somehow I haven't been able to put the bootloader correctly on the HD and I consistently run into the Kernel Panic message "You need to restart your computer..." so I have to boot through my USB install key which is a pain. Is there a pointer on a guide on how to fix this and get a working bootloader on the HD? thanks!
AlastairDewar
You can repeat the process of copying the Chameleon bootloader, but onto your hard drive again. Read the final paragraph of the tutorial for more insight.
SnowLeper
I did that, and I do get the chameleon bootloader screen (chameleon picture at the top), however, when I select my HD I see the apple logo and wheel spinning for a few seconds, then the kernel panic error message.
