fc bayern
I have one question for You Pro's out there. I have 2HD , first one 500 gb=Vista ultimate x64 second one =Leopard, SL Now , when I boot from the second HD, default boot partition is Leopard, because of what i have to always hit F8 to get the Darwin promp and then select Snow L Can I change the boot order, so the default boot should be Snow L. Leopard is on disk0s2 Sl is on disk0s3
dgobe
At the boot prompt it will list your OS partitions as hd(x,y) You can put these keys in your com.apple.boot.plist to select your default boot partition <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(x,y)</string> Replace x and y with the appropriate values Those x and y values will change if you change your BIOS boot order settings. There are other benefits to the newer boot loaders besides getting the Default Partition to work in your com.apple.boot.plist
