Hi, my setup is iatkos v7 with vanilla kernel (10.5.7) with my Gecube Radeon 4870 VGA Card (512 mb.) Yesterday i had to switch my card with Asus Radeon 4870 (1024 mb.) But after that i have problem with booting into osx. Screen went blank. I've tried -x and -v switches none of them worked.

Any idea will appreciated.

Thank you so much.

To the video driver, your cards are completely different animals. Architecturally, they may be as close as you can get to the same for us, how the drivers are expecting to handle the video memory is different and therefore, causing you grief.

try booting with your original iAtkos disk, and selecting only the driver packages for your new card.

Not sure if that will work, but it might.

elsewise, read around for how to do some command line bashing and boot in single user mode (-s) and kill off your ATY injectors, which should enable a -x (safe boot)
