Goffwithag
I've been trying to install OsX on my AMD based system now for a few weeks but apparently I just don't understand enough about the process to actually get it working. As of right now my current system specs are as follows... CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9950 b.e. MOBO: Asus M3A78-T RAM: Patriot 2x2GB ddr2 1600 GPU: Sapphire ATI 4850 512MB x2 Now thats out of the way... I've tried using several different releases to get OsX to work to no avail. I've read that for my system I need to use the Voodoo Kernel 9.5.0 and a seatbelt fix. So my question to who ever might be able to help is... How in the heck do I do that... I do not currently have a Mac or access to one for that matter. I have acquired the iDeneb v1.4 OSx86 iso and used the BOOT-Kabyl-Bumby boot loader. With that setup I got farther than I have ever gotten. all the way to where the iDeneb screen pops up and begins to load the installation. It popped up the language selection menu and then froze for a few seconds and then started spewing out 130 error messages. So after all of that if anyone has Any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again

I have also been working to get OSX86 installed on my HP Pavilion dv9925nr, got it installed with the speedstepkernel. Was able to start it up, went into the basic startup, setting kb, lang, then it asked about transfer or not. I've tried it both ways, seems to be in a loop and goes back to the lang. Hope this helps. phreekin
Goffwithag
Update... I was able to finalll get the iDeneb to work... well sort of... I supposedly got everything installed and went to reboot. Got to the white screen with the mac logo on it and it just froze there for just about 2 hours before I decided to hard reset. There was no mention of errors or beeps... I did try the new kalyway and it kept getting hung up on the USB. That and it kept saying Still waiting for boot device... over and over... So lost when it comes to this stuff...
vilpostus
...Got to the white screen with the mac logo on it and it just froze there for just about 2 hours before I decided to hard reset. Boot with -v to see where it has stopped. That and it kept saying Still waiting for boot device... over and over... So lost when it comes to this stuff... It's about the SATA controller driver. Goffwithag
Ok. Well I have sort of given up on getting this to work for the time being... I gave up on the iDeneb distro and tried the Kalyway version. I noticed an extreme difference in the install process. iDeneb only took 9 minutes i believe it said while Kalyway took somewhere around 35 minutes. Not sure if that had anything to do with the problems I was having but it sort of made sense to me in a way. Although when I tried the -v command to get it to show what it was getting hung up on with iDeneb it was getting hung up on what seemed like the USB ports and then would get stuck in and endless loop of trying to disconnect them or something to that nature. With Kalyway I didn't even get anything to show up with the command so I'm not even sure if it was working at all.... with out the command though I was getting the white screen with the apple logo and the black rotating thinking/working icon. So if anyone can give me and idea of where in the sam heck I am going wrong maybe someday I will try this again. Oh on a side note where in the heck to I tell the OS to use the voodoo 9.5 that might also help... i can't seem to figure out if its before or after the OS is installed. Thx again.
