elnino Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 I installed SL 10.6 vanilla. I'm using ATI 4870X2 but cannot working properly. It shows only 1024x768 resolution. I've tried patch from netkas.org, removed ATI4800Controller.kext and installed these steps: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=155477 None of them working. What should I use kext for SL? How did get working? I think I did something wrong. Can anybody tell me the installation instructions? doug_1986 Posted October 16, 2009 Share Posted October 16, 2009 Elnino, did you manage to get it working? I'm having the same problems with my Sapphire 4870x2 in Snow Leopard. Everything works great in Leopard, i boot to Leopard and install SL Retail from there, install Chameleon 2 RC3, install kexts etc, then boot to SL. Everything boots up fine (vanilla) and i apply the Apple 10.6.1 update. Then install netkas package, reboot and the screen goes all pink and crazy. Specs are... CPU:Q6600 2.4Ghz SCLAR Ed @ 3.0Ghz CPU Cooler:Asus Silent Knight 2 (Copper) Ram:8Gb 800Mhz Geil Black Dragon Mobo:Asus P5Q-Pro GPU:ATI Radeon HD 4870 x2 (Sapphire) HD:3x Maxtor 1TB 32meg Cache (SATA) Sound:Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
