andrew h Posted September 13, 2009 Share Posted September 13, 2009 Before I get flamed that this topic's scattered all over the forums to get 889a sound working - I've tried all kinds of variations and still stuck. Right now I've got the DSDT file loading ok - currently of got this in my about list. Intel High Definition Audio: Device ID: 0x1458A002 Audio ID: 889 Available Devices: Speaker: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack Line Out: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack Headphone: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack Line In: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack External Microphone: Connection: 1/8-Inch Jack S/P-DIF Out: Connection: Combo I've had combinations of this with different DSDT files, including an AUDIO ID of 12 However - volume is in grey, and sound does not play. itunes won't let me choose the play button. Have checked the kexts and tried Legacy, Voodoo and some others but no luck. I'm guessing I might need a patched kext to make use? - Currently I've taken all my sound related kexts out.
