Hi there,

i hope someone can help me.

I have the following Hardware:

- - -

Mainboard: ASUS RAMPAGE II, GENE

Processor: Intel Core i7, 920

RAM: 6 GB, DDR-III

HDD: Samsung HD103UJ

- - -

I wanna install Snow Leopard with a new Installation on a separate HDD. I changed the SATA Mode to AHCI and boot the TeknoJunkie RETAIL.ISO (I tried with boot-flag -v -x -y cpus=1).

But it does not work.

Which is the best way to install it?

I'm new in this area and spend already a lot of time for these (but it does not work :) )

I'm totally despaired.

Thanks for your help.

Could you be a little more elaborative on the error you are having?

I changed the SATA Mode to AHCI and boot the TeknoJunkie RETAIL.ISO

You are doing the opposite, your motherboard's BIOS SATA mode should be IDE Compatible.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

I read in different Forums, that i must change the SATA Mode to AHCI, but ok.

I change it to IDE and boot again.

- - -

-> Put the TeknoJunkie CD in the CD-Rom (Darwin 5.0.132 with Chameleon 2.0 RC1)

-> I press ENTER for Media Scan

-> Press F8 for Advanced Boot Options

-> Change the CD to Snow Leopard

-> Press ESC for Rescan

-> Then i see the Snow Leopard CD in the middle of the Screen i put the

-> Boot-Flag "-v -x -y cpus=1"

-> and load the Setup

-> After a few minutes i see an Error (See file in attachement)

Thank you again.

Andy
