Itunes 6.0.4 installer hangs

Hi,

 

I cannot upgrade to 6.0.4. The installation simply stops. Installation protocol is attached. Do not know how to go on. Manual install via commandline or updater hangs as well.

 

The next problem I have with 6.0.3 is, that I cannot open the preferences dialog. If I do so, there is simply a big monitor filling cocoa-backgrounded window with no buttons at all. All I want to do is prevent Itunes from copying the files I want to play into its library, `cause I am managing my files myself.

 

Someone knows how to edit the itunes plist? Property List Editor isnt a good way.

Edit: After applying the security-update, I coud update Itunes as well

But my problem with the handling of the library remains.

first, to install the update, put the old itunes.app in the trash and download the complete itunes package from apple and it should install.

 

For the preferances not appearing, u will need to aquire maxxus patch 1A. most specificly, u will need the amd enabler this will fix a few little things including itunes preferances.
