Cool McCool
My apologies if this has already been discussed somewhere... I have a vanilla OSX 10.5.8 system with an EFI partition. Can I successfully upgrade to 10.6.0 Snow Leopard using the upgrade DVD from Apple? Are there any special steps or kexts that I will need in advance? Thanks, Cool
Jib51
I think that nobody tried to upgrade .... Maybe you should try to read other sections of this forum, and why not the one called "OSX86 installation"
rd350a
I did an upgrade using the new "boot think" 2.3, it would boot the install dvd,I had to put the install dvd to a stick and boot the stick because I had a problem with IOATAfamily.kext, just replaced it with the one I was using in leopard 10.5.8. I did not know how to change it in the pkg so if you have this problem with IOATA, you will need to replace it after the upgrade, an additional working copy or be able to do through terminal.
