Hello All :)

Well i am currently running Leopard 10.5.7 completely fine and now snow leopard is out (and there seems to be a way to get it installed easier) i am thinking of installing it. But i am thinking is there much point?

Here is my current notebook:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5200 (Is 64-bit

Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400

HDD: 160GB (i replaced it)

Thats the main specs that are needed really.

I can't see the gfx doing openCL but it looks like i can do 64-bit?

I am thinking why not just install it, though i waiting for a good install guide for this new Chameleon 2 RC3 package

Thanks All,

Ben

You should do it. my computer sucks so much more than yours and i've been up and running since the beta releases.

Well i am thinking why not as well and if anything it will run faster....

I have only ever used a distro though example iPC 10.5.6 or iDeneb but it seems they have not released a snow leopard version. They don't even have a beta out so i am thinking i will be waiting for a while....

I am not too knowledgeable on this Chameleon 2 RC3 package but this is what it think and tell me if i am way off:

1) Put a retail 10.6 DVD into my current leopard drive.

2) Open Disk Utility and restore the DVD to a USB drive or flash driver or something.

3) Run the Chameleon 2.0 RC3 pkg package and install it to the USB drive or flash driver which snow leopard is on.

4) Then install as i would with any iPC / iDeneb package.

BUT

If i want to have extra extentions such as sound, my graphics driver for my NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 or anything else do i copy them out of my extentions folder currently on leopard and copy them to the /extra folder that comes with Chameleon 2.0 RC3?

Basically how do i get the extra extentions/ktexts to be able to be installed when i install snow leopard.

Am i on the right track?
