mothergoose729
If this is the wrong part of the forum let me know. I looked through the other subsections and this seemed the best fit. I am going to be building my first hackintosh, and I have all the parts thus far. A few gigs of RAM, E2180 processor, and a gigabyte low profile 9800gt. I looked through the OSX wiki page for compatible motherboards, and it seems that because the Snow leopard OS is still very new there hasn't been a whole lot of update to that page. What's the buzz around here on the motherboard that seems to be working well for most people? I wouldn't mind having to pay extra to track down a compatible ethernet card, sound card, whatever but sleep and shutdown functions would be nice. Trying to look for the least painful install I can for my first go at this, any help would be great

mothergoose729
Thanks for that, I will fall back on it if I need to. Would prefer something less then a hundred dollars though.

takeawaydave
How well is the P5Q supported? Pretty good seems to run vanilla installs. I'm running one with 10.5.7 vanilla. Working nic, sound etc.... I would recommend. I had good success installing leopard using: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86167 This is good as well: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=136586 Provides patched bioses.
