I get a similar problem with Dvd Studio Pro 2.

GetMACAddress returned 0x00000005

x86 Warning initialize_shim:145: shim initialized

swap constant CFString 'IOGLBundleName'

..then the program disappears.

This is after I took out the hardware check, similar to the installation of FCP.

Anyone get Dvd Studio working yet?

i'm getting a similar issue on my system, which appears to have hardware-accelerated OpenGL (Radeon 7000 PCI).

native (x86/Universal) binaries accessing OpenGL works 100% (eg flurry screensaver, XBench OpenGL test both display smooth OpenGL rendering), but any OpenGL app running thru Rosetta (eg iTunes visualiser, XBench running with 'open with rosetta') exhibits the 'sudden exit' thing, and the console log gets:

x86 Warning initialize_shim:145: shim initialized

swap constant CFString 'IOGLBundleName'

i think its some issue with OpenGL and Rosetta.

I've disabled all the plugins of dvdsp4 (get info -> plugins) and it runs. I see the interface !

But I don't see background's menu or buttons and I can't import m2v file.

You can try to add thes plugins one by one to see wich makes crash.

I don't have time to play with that. I have to go back on my G5 :D .

I went through and did this, for me it was the very last plugin, WirelessVideoOutput.oxygene, that was preventing DVDSP from loading. Haven't tried importing video or anything else yet but at least now it loads. :(

i have 10.4.3 with jas patch for 8f1111a installed

i installed dvd studio pro 3 straight off the disk and it is running with only one problem that i can see.

it will start to use the internal compressor to change quicktime movies to mpeg2, but then just gets stuck.

if i convert to mpeg2, then import into dvdsp, it works like a charm.
