Windows XP Fan speed

I think my windows side gets too hot, and that is why I think my high end games crash like fallout 3, command and conquer 3, very rarely Half-Life 2 even crashed. (Well sound was stuttering, mouse was moveable, graphics were froze, sometimes the sound normalizes and screen goes black, able to minimize window. When minimized sometimes the opened game is no longer opened. I restart to imac to MacOsX and then woshhh, the fan speed speed up like a jet.

 

The Highest temp I had was 82 Celsius on my Power Supply. (100 is boiling point for water).

 

I use fan control on my 24" iMac to keep my HD cooler, didn't like 73 on my HD. Never had problems on my 20" iMac playing with fallout 3 nor any other games.

Maybe I was looking at the wrong place, it could be a sound problem making the game crash, since I usually hear stuttering sounds, and then it normalizes, sometimes it doesn't.

 

I checked further to see what makes the sound stutter and found out that a wlan driver was the cause of the problem. I am downloading the driver that was posted on this link and see if it really does solve the problem, otherwise I will update my realtek driver which is also posted on this site.

I had no idea how to install the wlan driver, there was no directions, so I only installed the audio driver for xp.

I played fallout 3 days and 1 other game without gurgling sounds except the gurgling sounds that came from Galaxy Radio (the in-game radio station).

 

So I will post a new topic so everyone will know how to fix their iMac Silver crashing while gaming.

 

The fix was this

easy install, then restart and play.

 

The iMac white issue had the wlan and gurgling sounds, the silver one was the audio driver.
