Final Cut Studio 3 and Snow Leopard performance

This question goes out to any video editors, or video editing enthusiasts who are currently running Final Cut Studio 3 and have done the upgrade to Snow Leopard. I'm essentially just trying to get a general feel if making the upgrade to Snow Leopard has improved the speed, or stability of workflows within the Final Cut Suite.

I'm currently running the new Final Cut on my Quadcore Hackintosh, that is still riding on Leopard 10.5.6, and the application itself still seems unable to tap into multiple core potential except for when doing business in Compressor (which is absolutely ridiculous), and I was curious if any Snow Leopard users have seen a boost in performance sense making the jump.

Thanks in advance to any insight you can share.
