Mobo: Asus P5K Premium

Sound: Onboard AD1988B

Snow Leopard installed according to this thread. (Cliff Notes Below)

1. Install From Retail Disc

2. Install Bootloader (I tried both EFI9 and EFI10 successfully)

3. Apply DSDT Patch

4. Copy over KEXTs (it worked with just FameSMC, but after crashing I also loaded OpenHaltRestart, PlatformUUID and NullCPUPM)

5. Apply permissions fix with code:

Everything seems to be working except for the sound.

On leopard I'm pretty sure I patched the sound with "Taruga_AD1988b_rev3_Installer" which crashes when I try to install it on Snow Leopard.

How can I get sound working?

Ok so I tried it with:

1) Just VoodooHDA.kext

2) With VoodooHDA.kext, OSvKernDSPLib.kext and IOAudioFamily.kext (provided in previous post)

3) Just AD1988b.Fix.kext in conjunction with DSDT patch. Details Here

None of these solutions have worked for me. I did notice a "POP" sound coming from the speakers during the grey apple loading screen while using VoodooHDA.kext. It sounds similar to when you plug in speakers to a live jack and you get the crackle noise. It only lasts for less than a second and is completely silent after that.

Please explain detaily how you could install Snow Leopard on the mobo Asus P5K Premium.

I tried different methods of install and always I had got Kernel Panic.

Can you send me the bootloader files and DSDT.aml or give me the site to load them?

My configuration is in my signature.

Thank you very much and I would be appreciate for the fast answer.
