degel3030
I have just started playing around with getting osx86 installed on my Vostro 410 which currently has an ATI 2400 HD card. I just purchased a Geforce 9400 GT card to help with osx86 and also linux (current card worked...but not well under Ubuntu). So my question is this, I would like to purchase a copy of Snow Leopard and install it on my Dell but I would like to know what some of the experts on this board thought, does this seem feasible? I would think having a nvidia card would automatically make it somewhat easier. Well if anyone has some input I would be super interested in reading Thanks P.S. great job to all groups, I think some documentation may need some help but this whole project is super cool

I would also like some help. -I have a vostro 410 -I'm successfully running 10.5.6 via iPC -I'm attempting to install 10.6 but the drives aren't recognized in DiskUtil during the install I checked bios, under "Sata Mode" My only options are IDE and RAID... I think that is the problem, no? I'm just confused why I was able to use and install 10.5.6 but can't get the drives to recgonize in 10.
tagavor
Well if anyone has some input I would be super interested in reading Okay, I successfully installed 10.6 on a vostro 410. I posted a guide but it hasn't shown up yet, i think it needs to be approved still. When it is just follow those instructions and you'll be up and running.
