tomazzzi
Hi, I managed to get leo running on my rig but i m getting poor cpu & graphic performance according to benchmarks ( xbench, geekbench ) On léopard 10.5.8 Xbench scores 168 while it s only 80 in snow :S On geekbench it s only 1700 on snow It was like 6000 in léo if i remember well. The desktop experience is great with no lag but every graphic tests i made gave me poor results as well as the CPU one s. The system is running in 64 bit mode. My system is a core2duo EE6600 2.4ghz GA965P-DQ6 6GBDDR2 667mhz 750GB sata HD ( all ahci in bios ) I used Nvdarwin installer 1,2,5 for my GFX as EFI string doesn t work well for this card ( msi geforce 7600gs 256mb ) Then : Disabler, fakesmc, IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector, NullCPUPowerManagement, OpenHaltRestart, PlatformUUID kexts in my /Extra folder with chameleon 1.0 EFI10 & a custom dsdt. Any idea ? Thanks for your answers. Bye

It's new hardware with lots of threads that should be incredibly fast in snow leopard, but it's not. I have dsmos.kext, nullcpu, openhaltrestart, graphics kexts for an ATI x1950gt, and alc889a.kext for audio. I'm using chameleon 2 without EFI10. Any luck? tomazzzi
Still not solved it. The boot time is fast everything seems to run fine but it benchmark slow. I ll install some pro apps ( final cut, logic ) to do some comparative tests with my leopard install this week end.

Really though you are running applications that weren't designed for Snow Leopard, so it is impossible to know how they will function or if they are even functioning properly. tomazzzi
you are running applications that weren't designed for Snow Leopard, What applications ? I took care that all my drivers were 64bit compatible. Only nvdarwin isn t but that doesn t explain the poor CPU performance. Thanks for your answer. tomazzzi
Your Benchmark Applications. Even if Xbench isn t x64 it should at least run as well as it ran in leopard. My score is 50% lower, there s a problem and it s not Xbench.

tomazzzi
The Nvidia card yes but also the CPU & disk are slow as hell according to Xbench & geekbench.
