Hello,

**** First, I want to say a personal thanks to all the programmers out there that have made it possible for us to run OS X on a PC ***

My processor is a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 and I have 8 Gigs of Ram in this machine.

I am currently running Leopard using Bootloader CD BOOT-DFE-146-BUM on a Gigabyte EP45C-UD3R -- It WORKS GREAT! Over time I figured I only needed 3 Kext to make everything work installed using Kext Helper. The three kext I use:

1. For Audio - AppleAzaliaAudio.kext

2. For restart and shutdown - OpenHaltRestart.kext

3. For Sleep - SleepEnabler.kext

I have a EVGA 9800GT 512MB card and Used OSX86Tools to do a custom com.apple.Boot.plist file.

I did not install anything more but these three kexts and leave the bootloader CD in the computer. Set the bios to default to the CD and it loads Darwin then I pick my Hard Drive that Leopard is on, and BINGO, it loads OS X.

I want to do the same thing with Snow Leopard, How come "We" and when I say We, I really mean all the brilliant programmers that are behind the OS X Community, How come we can't take the same Boot Loader mentioned above that works with Leopard and modify it to boot Snow Leopard and then let the OS X community find the kext files they need for there specific motherboard??

On a scale of 1 to 10 in the computer world and Macs to be specific, I consider myself a 9 out of 10. I am not a programmer though, my knowledge there is closer to a 2 or 3 out of 10, that falls on people that understand code and have been writing it for years and years, not me. I wish I was but it is above my head currently.

Again, OS X Community programmers can we get this done the way it was done for leopard, or is there something so different with Snow Leopard that we can't do it that way?

I have enclosed the kext files I used. Also the bootloader. Is there a bootloader that works like the one that I am using in Leopard to install Snow Leopard from the DVD and then boot from the CD Bootloader?

Thanks in Advance. The OS X86 Tool was too big to attach, do a search if you need it and I am sure you will find it.
