It's done!!!!!!! After much pain I successfully made boot 132 SNOW

Thanks Ubuntu linux  :D

Oh and many thanks to chameleon it is included in this boot 132. So it isn't exactly like the traditional edition! This should work but I don't have Snow and have not yet tested it!

What's new from the original is patched dsdt.aml and chameleon loader for efi emulation.

UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS INTEL SSE3 ONLY AND WORKS ONLY ON A COMPLETE VANILLA CAPABLE PC

For others, I am working on a version for more systems and will release shortly. I tried to use dsdt.aml that works only with hardware very similar to a real apple computer. My next release shall not need dsdt and I plan to make it with only chameleon and kexts! Edit: This should work for you I've tested this method in other thread on an ASUS P5KPL\1600

what does it do? Quick explaination in a few words please

Sure, you burn the .iso file in the uploaded archive. Then you boot it. Next you reove the disk and insert snow leopard orriginal retail dvd on "do you want to enable...." prompt and press enter and snow installer boots!

I think he meant could you detail the changes you've made?

After swapping discs at Media Enable, how long should we wait before we see something? Will it be like the old boot132 Darwin prompt?

Using system in sig (all ahci - everything bog standard ud3p - disabled sound) and no luck, but still going to give a few attempts.

edit -

Err.. you haven't tested it? Hell I recreated a SL boot132 disc that got as far as actually loading mach_kernel (but no farther).

You should test software before you release. As of now, it doesn't work.

The HARD DRIVE that Snow Leopard is installed on will not show up on the desktop?

Snow Leopard is configured by default not to show ANY internal hard disks on the desktop. Open up your Finder preferences to change this...

Problems so far, It will not show the installed hard drive on the desktop.

Because its a new finder preference and you have to go and turn it on! The drive is there, I mean as long as you can get to the desktop.

Kernel/CPU Panic after inserting Snow DVD :(

Same here, and it happens immediately 2 seconds after inserting the DVD.

@BladeRunner

My system is fully capable of running Vanilla, it's Asus P5K-E/Q6600/DDR2-800.

I am getting pretty much the same Kernel Panic like shown on your image.

I tried various Boot 132 methods starting from a USB Stick, Retail DVD or preinstalling SL on another partition.

3 days without success here. Trying to boot SL up ends into this Kernel Panic. :(

BUT I have a fully working Leopard 10.5.7 Install already. So I think something is missing or did I do something wrong?

My specs are:

ASUS P5Q Pro

ATI HD 3870

Intel Core 2 Quad (Q9550 @ 3.4 GHz)

At some point you have to press the 'escape' key so the computer can recognizes it is the SL dvd.

Then press 'enter'.

Now it should start from your SL dvd. ;)

At least that worked for me until I got a Kernel Panic though. :(
