homestarr
I wanted to post this in case there were people having issues with booting up in Snow Leopard. There are many guides and following any of them will work, my issue was running Kext Utility. Make sure you copy your Extensions folder to your desktop BEFORE dragging it onto kext utility - seems that it won't have access to change permissions to your kexts if they reside in Extra. THEN copy it back over to your Extra folder. After that, I had a JMicronATA panic that was resolved by using a different kext, not sure where it came from especially since Snow Leopard has it built in but it definitely worked. If anyone needs that let me know and I'll post it
vbxeric
I'd like you to post you JmicronATA kext. I don't have kernel panic but only a still waiting for root device message whatever i do. Perhaps your kext will resolve my issue...

Perhaps your kext will resolve my issue... It's not mine and I have no idea where it comes from, but it solved my error. To clarify, my error was a halt at the line "JmicronATA::Scanningfordrives" ... installing this kext solves it JMicronATA.kext
