I've got SL working with this guide. Changed out the LegacyHDA for one with digital output.

Digital out works fine, except I cannot get DTS or AC3 to transmit 4.1, 5.1, etc.

Anyone had any luck with this?

No joy. Tried this and VLC still does not pass through DTS. This worked for me in Leo with same version of VLC but was not using DSDT at the time to get audio working. In Leo I used AppleHDAPatcher for audio. Anyone know if same patcher will work in SL?

Same problem here, "codified out" not work in SL.

Would this wok whit any extra kext?

Actually using DSDT.

You need to patch AppleHDA binary.  Search Madtux's guide.
