r0ck3r4ever Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 Hey, I am trying to get SL to boot with this hardware for some time but it won't work, it get's stuck without a kp just before GUI. I've tried different guides but all of them ended to the same result. Also I tried to delete the graphics drivers but no GUI. Do you have similar hardware? Somebody had the same issue? I have the plain 4870 512 card similar to the Mac Pro cards. i have the same gfx card, and passed by that problem by renaming the ATIRadeonX2000.kext to ATIRadeonX2000.kext.disabled after that i was able to boot normally into the desktop, but with no kext loaded for the 4870. now i'm looking for the solution to get resolution and QE/CI enabled, but still not found it. i've tried the exotic package for SL with no luck. anyone with a HD4870 512mb dual DVI fully working on SL? i've managed to get it working on 10.5.8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
