Dannydeman
Well, I use OSX 10.5.8. for one week now, and it's awesome. I don't even boot back into Windows 7 anymore So, I was wondering if there will be any easy upgrade possibilities in the future, or any easy distro's like we have now for the 10.5.x. And when can we expect it, if even possible?
Thameth
Same question here, I'm running 10.5.8 and looking to upgrade to Snow Leopard. I don't see any threads on easily just upgrading, is is possible or do we have to reinstall from scratch? I guess i'll eventually just have to stick the disk in and see what happens, but it would be nice to know if it should work or not....
tha_toadman
Here's an upgrade possibility: go buy a REAL MAC! To answer the OP, no. You do realize SL is a 64-bit OS right!? Keep searching...
dieselboy27
Here's an upgrade possibility: go buy a REAL MAC! To answer the OP, no. You do realize SL is a 64-bit OS right!? Keep searching... There may or may not be custom distro's released. But, hopefully people with similar hardware may post detailed installation guides. I know that my Dell 1525 is going to get to SL but we may need patience before all the bugs are uncovered. It's an exciting time to be a Hackintosh owner, we'll soon be running the most sophisticated O/S on our computers.
Dannydeman
@toadman: well, yeah that is true, however, original Apple PC's can be updated as well, so it must be possible then Also, I can't spend 1000+ euro's for a Mac at the moment I'm a poor student. I'm using XxX 10.5.6 right now and I don't feel like making a clean install of iAtkos 10.5.7 and then upgrading to 10.5.8...
Dannydeman
no sorry man, I mistyped, I also have 10.5.7, and I don't upgrade it to 10.5.8, since it's not necessary and won't be better if it even works.

Stormwatch
Here's an upgrade possibility: go buy a REAL MAC! Damn, I wish I could buy a real Mac again (had a 6500/225, and a G3/500 iMac). If I could get one for the American price, I would have. But here in Brazil, Macs are insanely expensive. For example, a $600 mini? More like $1400. How about a $1200 iMac? Try $2700. So for now I'll make do with what I can get.
