running0nempty77 Posted August 29, 2009 Share Posted August 29, 2009 I managed to get a Snow Leopard install going on my HP DV6835 Laptop. The first time I booted up Graphics were working perfectly. After the install for the mouse (applepcips2nub.kext, & appleps2controller.kext) and my modded WIFI kext the grapics default to vesa. It's an Intel GM X3100 (not sure on the ven/dev id's at the moment). Both the wifi and mouse/keyboard are working fine, and the only other thing I haven't figured out is the sound (alc268 if anyone has any clue on what to do for that too) If anyone know's what to do to get this up and running i'd apprecite it. It's a pretty common device, and I know it's 100% compatible. Must always boot in x32 X3100 not yet support 64bit If you stuck on black screen when booting, download DSDT PATCHER GUI and patch your snow partition Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
running0nempty77 Posted August 30, 2009 Author Share Posted August 30, 2009 Yeah, I can't even get a dsdt.aml file. dsdt gui always kicks back an error and the file it does create is un-editable using iasl because it is zero kb in size. Any clues on how to get one? Also, it looks like the gmax3100 doesn't have the proper drivers for 64bit. so im stuck in 32bit for the time being. not that it really matters I don't have any hardware that would really take advantage of it anyways. anyway to edit my boot.plist or other file to set it to boot 32bit w/o having to type -x32 at the boot prompt everytime?
