I have the same motherboard - got SL into desktop but I get kernel panics after a few minutes. SL appeared to be very stable installed stuff and made a bunch of configurations. it was until I used the Natit kext for my 9800GTX I started to get KPs NVenabler didn't work initially and KP, don't recall - I have to retry.
