Aglod516 Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 Hey guys, im new to the hackintosh scene as you can tall. Im not a noob when it comes to windows and i kind of understand this kext stuff. My question is whats the easiest way to get leopard on my system, duel boot (with xp) or without... My freind told me to dl XxX_x86_10.5.6_Install_Disc_Universal_Final.iso and i have it but im not sure what to do from here. Marclh Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 Your PC should be able to actually install using a Boot-132 method, it allows you to update OS X through the Apple Software Update, but it may be a bit hard to install if you don't follow a guide correctly. You also would need a CD and a dual layer DVD or a retail OS X Leopard disc. You can still install OS X using that DVD image you have downloaded by burning it to a DVD at 2x speed (to make sure there are no burning errors) and then reboot your computer and then go into the Disk Utility once the DVD boots up and format a disk as HFS+ Journaled then install OS X. If you want to keep Windows XP, you will need to get another hard drive to install OS X on, it is MUCH easier. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Aglod516 Posted August 29, 2009 Author Share Posted August 29, 2009 Hey thanks for the reply =] i just go darwin to work and installed Mac Os a dozen times trying to get it to work...but the farthest ive got with customization was to the blue screen after the silver apple sign then it freezes...
