Hi everyone,

I know it's old, but anyone else with and old ICH2 ATA/IDE trying to boot SL?

I do get:

Got boot device = IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/pci8086,244b@1F,1/AppleIntelPIIXATARoot/CHN0@0/AppleIntelPIIXPATA/ATADeviceNub@1/

AppleATADiskDriver/IOATABlockStorageDevice/IOBlockStorageDriver/WDC1600AAJB-000000 WDC

but then when I see "BSD root:" my hardisk spins down and boot hangs.

Using:

AppleIntelPIIXPATA (SL version by Netkas)

ATAPortInjector (injecting ICH2 plist stuff)

IOATAFamily of SL (Leopard version gives the same)

Modbin 10a432 kernel (test v7)

I reckon some code was removed in one of the kexts mentioned in the "Got boot device" line, but it's just a guess.. Leopard work fine :thumbsup_anim:

Let me know if you have similar experiences.

Cheers! N.M.
