I have a similar shuttle xpc (SG31G2) and can't get it installed. I did try a guide here and only managed to get a KP on boot. Was there a certain guide you used? Maybe I can help with your issues if I can get it working on my shuttle as well.

You should probably modify the topic title to be more specific. I also have an SG33G5 I intend to dual boot Snow Leopard and Windows 7 on using Chameleon.
I don't understand why the CMOS would reset itself?
[edit] I've read that this happens if DSDT or RTC is not patched.
As for the ethernet adapter, that would be a Marvell Yukon 88E8056. I havent tried it yet, but there is a patcher for that here: http://www.insanelym...p...t&p=1228850
[edit] You can add -x32 to com.apple.Boot.plist so Chameleon will instead boot into 32-bit mode.
BTW what version BIOS do you have installed? The latest is SG33U11A:

Well I got SL working on my SG33G5
I used a clean hard drive and attached it via a USB adapter to a working Leopard machine. Used DiskUtility to setup a MBR disk with HFS+ and FAT partitions. Then ran modified OSInstall.mpkg to do a custom install of SL on HFS+ partition followed by Chameleon RC2 without extra kexts.
IIRC...
I boot straight to OSX from Chameleon with no options, meaning 64-bit, everything works except LAN, Audio, GPU.
Used EFI Studio and selected 8800GT and added strings to plist, monitor and gpu then worked on reboot.
I used DSDT Patcher 1.0.1e to create proper file and cp'd it to the root of the volume, LAN then worked on reboot.
I used kexthelper to install VoodooHDA, which got audio working.

Ran Software Updater which downloaded drivers for my HP printer
