i think that xbench is not a viable bench app (too old), have you test opengl performances with others bench applications ?

Are you guys using 64 or 32 bit. Try check the performance in 32bit and compare it with 64bit.

My XBench scores were the same in 32 and 64 bit. I'll try some other benchmarks later on tonight if I get a chance.

OK here we go:

Snow Leopard 32bit standard

Snow Leopard 32bit benchmark selected

Snow Leopard 64bit standard

Snow Leopard 64bit benchmark selected

This is on a Geforce 7300GT, Leopard is a little faster than Snow at most tests on the benchmark.

I have a 9500gt and have achieved results very similar to you in Snow Leopard.

I am surprised that my 3.0 test also failed as my card is supposed to be 3.0 compatible.

OpenGL as Bundle and Framework aren't 3.0 compatible yet.
