Why don't you use the Kext for Snow Leopard????

Doesnt do anything, HOWEVER i got it all working, seems there was a kext conflict and i isolated it to a previous kext i installed. (AttansicLcEthernet.kext) All is working now!

Works on 10.5.7

MSI 770-G45

AMD Athlon II 3.00 GHz AM3

ATI Radeon HD4670 RV730

Installed with Kext Helper b7, and didn't even require a reboot (was recognized as a new network interface immediately and connected over DHCP)

THANK YOU!

Hi Guys

In my Aspire 5739g there is a Atheros AR8131 and I'm trying to make it work.

I have found the right kext and I have also checked my card Id is good, but I have this error:

localhost kernel[0]: [AttansicL1eEthernet] Error: Couldn't map io regs

localhost kernel[0]: [AttansicL1eEthernet] Error: Couldn't probe adapter

What could I do?

Thanks

AtherosL1cEthernet AR8131 work in 64bits with 10.6.0 , but not working in 64bits with 10.6.3 !!!

but run with 32bits ,I am to oblige to remain in 32bits with 10.6.3 ?

1. AtherosL1cEthernet AR8131 work in 64bits with 10.6.2 and 10.6.3 in my Asus G51J 3D

2. You need the newest x64 Kext dated on 04/25/2010 from http://code.google.com/p/iats/

3. You may get kernel panic on shutdown or re-booting after installation for the first time

4. Just ignore it ! You need -v -f -x32 for the first reboot to rebuild the correct kextcache and make sure it's working in 32-bits

5. After second reboot you can find it's working in 64-bits too !

1. You have used the incorrect Kext which should be AtherosL1cEthernet

2. Please follow my post: Posted Today, 02:49 AM

localhost kernel[0]: [AttansicL1eEthernet] Error: Couldn't map io regs

localhost kernel[0]: [AttansicL1eEthernet] Error: Couldn't probe adapter

The reason is PCI driver memory map is not correct, especially in some Acer machines. now there is no good solution.

ethernet never shows in hardware list

1.It's AR8121 (atheros L1e) which NIC of 6930G ,isn't AR8131 (attheros L1c).

2.AR8121 kext on 6930G ,have the map error. the reason is PCI driver memory map is not correct.

So ,first try install the modfied PCI driver of leopard in here :http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81036

installed kext you asked me to along with yours, now getting an error:

[HCIController][configurePM] power parent ready after 1 tries

and freeze there

thinking its a conflict with apci?

even -x freezes on legacyappleahciport is not loadable.

going to try without smbios

sorry, cant seem to get leopard to boot without acpi, needed for sata i think, and those pci kexts overwrite the apci.

any other suggestions? really would love ethernet at least because then i could use dd wrt to make wireless ;)

Hi to evrybody! People, help me please to get working Atheros AR8131 on my Acer Extensa 5635G. So, what have I got: Intel Core 2 Duo T6570, nVidia G105 M (enabled with graphics enabler), Sound (I don't know what type exactly, but I got it working with VooDooHDA 262). That's what I tried to get up. There is only a Ethernet card witch doesn't work. That kext build_x64_20100425 doesn't work. I tried it with original IOPCIFamily.kext and with modified. No result. Please help me.

P.S. Comme toujours excuse moi pour mon anglais.
