holtvg Posted August 21, 2009 Share Posted August 21, 2009 Just curious what the difference is between osx86 and the original unhacked mac os x besides the kernel which has been hacked to allow installation and booting on a pc. One thing is the original one comes on a dual layer dvd while osx86 is a single layer dvd not to mention the original one is 64 bit while osx86 as it says is 32 bit. Is it just compressed or was some of the programs removed from the original to make osx86. Also someone told me that you can run the original non hacked version of mac os x on a pc using some sort of boot hack, is this true?
