Erigz
First here is my system, I have 2 basically the same computers both exhibiting the same behavior. They have been running iDeneb V1.4 (5.5) rock solid since it came out until now with iDeneb V1.6 lite. Asus M2R32-MVP Motherboard AMD 5600+ (dual core) 4 gb ram ATI SB600 ADI1988A audio Marvell 88e8001 ethernet Nvidia 7300 video 256 ... Since you have an AMD CPU, try booting with "idlehalt=0 maxmem=3072". I had similar problem (system freezed while idle or gave me random kernel panics) and this solved it
AmigaOS
Thanks, I will give that a try, though I did try the system with only 2gb of ram instead of 4 and it still had the random freezes. I'll try this and let it run and see how long it lasts this time. Since you have an AMD CPU, try booting with "idlehalt=0 maxmem=3072". I had similar problem (system freezed while idle or gave me random kernel panics) and this solved it
Zasso
Hi guys, this is the version Lite of iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8. Essentially the big difference with Complete version, is the absence most of Audio and ATI Drivers, and the different structure of the dvd. In this version there are only AzaliaAudio and VoodooHDA like drivers audio, and ATY_init by Netkas for ATI Drivers. Then, there are no more default patches, but only pre-select package. This version gives more freedom to the users on the choice of drivers. You can see on screeshot of the OSInstall. In this version there are only six additional languanges: Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian. Before install remember: - Check the iso md5; - Read carefuly the "readme.rtf" file and during the installation read the package descriptions. For more info, you can visit the official project site. iDeneb_v1.6_1058_LE_Docs.rtf Hi to all, it's my first post. I read something around the forum, but i do not understand where I can download the .iso I found a .iso version on the web but when I installed it I lost the MBR and now I can not start windows on my laptop (althought I installed linux and grub found the OS on the laptop). So, where I can download this version? Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards
AmigaOS
Welp, that didn't change the problem at all. Still gets the kernel_task maxouts and permanent freezes. Anyone have any other ideas I can try? Thanks Since you have an AMD CPU, try booting with "idlehalt=0 maxmem=3072". I had similar problem (system freezed while idle or gave me random kernel panics) and this solved it

Vostro15
Hi, I am trying to install this on an old PC for the kids, it has a GA-G41M-ES2L, 512MB DDR2 RAM (!), Nvidia 6800 Ultra, Pentium 4 640 Prescott!!! So maybe these components are too old to get it started (except for the motherboard), but if I can get it to work on leopard then it might be quite a useful little PC! Thanks! Alex009988
It's a good assemblage. It was set up on my old HP formerly. But I did not use it as my sound was always interrupted. Now I have installed Windows 8 on my venerable HP Compaq nc6120.
