whoateallthenames
So I've just bought a macbook with Tiger installed. I want to run some software that requires Leopard. I really don't want to buy retail Leopard when Snow Leopard is going to be out in a v.short time. I would prefer to buy the Snow Leopard when it comes out, but in the meantime... Looking on ebay I can see macbook install disks for £25-£30. I know that I can't use imac disks, etc. So my question is how careful do I need to be about getting the right disks? Will I be OK as long as they are macbook disks? (mine is a 2gig core 2 duo, 13" white body, early 2007 I think). What about macbook pro? Thanks M
Forain
No, it won't work. At least, I tried to fix a Leopard installation on my macbook with my friend's macbook install disks and it said "Mac OSX cannot be installed on this machine" or something like it. I asked Apple about it and they told me I needed to install it with the disks that came with MY macbook and no other restore disk. I told them I had lost my disks and they said "So you will need to buy a Leopard Retail Box, sir".
