bradleytompkins
Hello everyone, I'm new to the whole hackintosh scene and I'm trying to put a list of hardware together that would be compatible and get the job done. So far this is what I'd like to use, and I guess I'm looking for confirmation to make sure it will all work before i put the cash down. CPU : Pentium Dual Core E5200 (Wolfdale) Mobo : GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L Mem : 2 gigs Kingston DDR2 800 HDD : Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB 3.5" SATA DVDR: SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD Burner Black SATA Video : Nvidia 8400 GS I haven't really decided on a case yet, something cheap, but I am wondering if the cheaper mini atx cases with 250W power supply would be enough for this. It's not really a beast of a system by any means, so I was thinking that might get me by but if you know any different please let me know. Thanks, Brad
Zaap
Yes, that will work. 250W could work (none of that is very power-hungry) but it depends on the quality of the PSU. A bigger concern if you're using a low-profile case, is to make sure your graphic card is low-profile ready.
