W-LAN Crawls, only on Hackintosh. Help!

I built a hackintosh a few weeks ago and have been very pleased (once I got everything working). However, I've just noticed that as of today, my w-lan speed has been absolutely abysmal. I just tested my hackintosh, laptop (also on w-lan), and iMac desktop (ethernet) with a Speedtest.net speed test. My iMac and my laptop are both pulling 10 mbps download speeds, whereas my hackintosh is pulling 0.2 mpbs. Each test was run multiple times on each machine in succession with the same results. Each computer is running off of the same Linksys WRT54GS v6 wireless router.

I have the following hardware:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L

Wireless Card: ASUS WL-138g V2

I used the guide from http://www.an43.com/ to install OS X.

NOTE: Not sure if this helps, but the only way I've ever been able to get my wireless to work is by adding a -f kernel flag. Otherwise, the wireless card refused to ever initialize.

Ideas? Any help would be great.
