Heureka!

For anybody having trouble getting above mentioned VGA to work with full capabilities under iPC 10.5.7 here is how I did it, maybe helps someone:

I've been trying for few weeks to make it work with CI/QE resolution change etc. the most I could get is resolution change but with no CI/QE (I've posted a question how to make it work here but till today no answer, I assume it's all working or nobody made it work).

Here is what I did:

1. I took hard drive and hooked it to another hackintosh where I could access files, root etc. without hassle about permissions, terminal etc. to delete certain files.

2. Then I went to /system/library/extensions

and copied following files to another location (partition, drive, usb key just for backup):

ATINDRV.kext

ATIRadeon.kext

ATIRadeonX2000.kext

ATIRadeonX2000GA.plugin

ATIRadeonX2000GLDriver.bundle

ATIRadeonX2000VADriver.bundle

ATY_Init.kext

3. When I made a backup of those files I deleted them in /system/library/extensions

4. Connected hard drive back to original machine

5. booted as usual, to 1024x768 resolution (this is default resolution when you have no drivers installed like VGA safe mode under windows)

6. installed this package: http://redirectingat.com/?id=292X457&u...yurl.com/4prgm6

(ati radeon HD)

7. rebooted and after light blue screen and few more moments of expectation everything went ok.

8. later on I installed 3870x2.pkg from this link:

http://redirectingat.com/?id=292X457&u...yurl.com/bqpkn9

but so far couldn't see any difference.

Hope I helped someone.
