Installing OS X on Vista

Ok, I'm about ready to install OS X. I have an external hard drive that I'm planning on testing it with. I'm actually mainly a Mac user, this is my first Windows computer so the external hard drive is formatted for Mac. I was planning to partition it on my iMac, and then hook it up to the Windows and put iATKOS on it. I want to use Chameleon as the bootloader, so what do I do?

Can anyone give me a simple list of steps or tell me if this is correct?

1. Partition my external drive (Should I do it in Windows or OS X?)

2. Install Chameleon

3. Put the iATKOS disc in and restart the computer

4. QUESTION: When the computer restarts will it automatically say Boot from disc or do I have to press something?

5. I boot from the disc.

6. I follow the Mac OS X installation instructions.

7. Finish?

Is that all I need to install OS X with Chameleon 2.0? Also, how do I switch between the operating systems, is it like in bootcamp where I hold a key during start up?

By the way, I'm running a Core i7 setup, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Sorry just one more question, which is better: iATKOS, iDeneb, Kalyway, or iPC? Can someone PM me a link to a good torrent of one of those?

Thanks in advance! I'm really looking forward to running this :P .

EDIT: Ugh sorry one more question. If it works on my external drive I'm going to buy an internal drive for OS X. Do I just repeat the installation process for that drive? I would delete OS X off my external if I install on an internal. Would that mess anything up?

Here are my specs if they are helpful:

Dell Studio XPS 435T:

Intel Core i7 920 Processor

9GB RAM

Radeon 4830 (something like that)

Windows Vista 64-bit

Intel X58 Motherboard (pretty sure, Dell doesn't list it on their site)

I think that's all you guys would need.
