My setup is OSX on a 160G drive and have Windows on another 750G drive and two 1.5T drives mirrored formated NTFS using a SiL 3132 raid chipset. Everything is working very well except that the 750G drive is very slow. It is using the on-board ACH8, same as the 160G OSX drive. anyone have an idea what driver i should give a try to improve the performance of this dive, the mirrored drives are very fast. Don't know if this helps any but, the reason i bought the raid card is because OSX did not see the mirror from the mobo raid, I saw two drives (two not one mirror) in OSX and they were slow just like the 750G drive is now. i bought this cheap card (around $20) and installed the driver from Silcon Image and the raid just appeared and worked perfectly. thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
