I have osx on my GFs laptop. Everything works great except sleep. If i have the applehpet.kext installed it will sleep perfect everytime but on shut down or restart it hangs even with openhaltrestart, without applehpet.kext it restarts fine but will not sleep, any ideas here guys?

Try fassl's DSDT patcher (Koalala's ACPIPatcher probably won't work with your BIOS since you're on a laptop). You will also need a bootloader that can load the generated DSDT.aml.

Use the search to find them.

it already has the dsdt patch

its a 4715z if that helps, the forum wont let me upload my dsdt, says im not permitted to upload that file type, here are the text files from the dsdt patcher

machine has voodoo kernel, chameleon 2 and is dsdt patched already

before managing your attachments I see:

compare from hpet fixed and dsdt fixed:

so the DSDT_FIXED is the base from starting my job

but I see no injection about darwin OS and consequent HPET activation and that why hoy must use disabler.kext or remove the intelpowermanagement



I removed also 7 warnings!!
so try that and let me see

ill let ya know, i dont have the machine with me, i didnt know i would have to remove the power managment with the voodoo kernel, it blocks it from loading
