Hi @ all

I postet somwhere else but still dont get any answer.

So here is my problem:

I have a Acer 6530G AMD/ATI an Leopard is running fine on it.

I used iDeneb 1.4 and hat to install ethernet drivers seperately.

So all things are fine. It is fast and no errors.

My Wifi is not working but thats OK, when i´m on the road

i can use Windows...

The only thing that is really not OK for me is the reolution of 1024x768!

My Acer has a 3470x2, so i know i have to wait till i am old and grey for

a driver :( ...

This means i only have Vesa resolutions. Since there is no resolution

that fits my screen (1366x768) i wanted to ask if there is any other way

to force it.

Maybe a modification of Vesa?

depends on your install method. If U have chameleon need to do the same thing (below) but to the com.Apple.Boot.plist in the Extra folder.

U can try:

-goto Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

and drag com.Apple.Boot.plist

out onto the desktop.

-add (or some such)

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>1280×1024×32</string>

to the file (using text edit)

-save

-Drag back to L/P/SC/

-authenticate

-repair permissions (using disk Utility)

reboot

Thank you for your answer.

This is what i tried as the very first.

I knew this Trick cause i had Tiger installed in VmWare.

And by the way there i could get my resolution with it.

Unfortunately Vesa supports no 16:9 / 16:10 resolutions

with a height of 768. So nothing happens when i do the edit.

It stays at 1024x768.

I had chosen voodoo kernel at install.

Do you think this may be a reason?

darn! Well, you could download pcwiz's OSX86 tools, in there is a button (top left corner iirc) that allows you to turn on QE, better than nothing. Sounds like some nice video cards. I assume you have a windows install. What is the video like in Windows?

Have you tried adding your device ID to the ATI kext? Have you tried ATYinject?
