So I installed osx and reinstalled it 3 times....can't get it to work it hangs at mDNSResponder for a few seconds then it boots when i press -v. I see the apple logo with that loading thing, it boots and just stays at a light blue screen and does nothing. I think this is my video card, i have some werid dell version of Ati Readeon HD 3650 256mb pcie x16 the device id is 9598.

the other specs on my dell studio 540 are....

intel quad core 6600 2.4ghz, gotta use cups=1

4 gb 800 mhz ram ddr 2

according to cpu-z my motherboard is from dell and so is the bios

the chipset on my motherboard is a intel p45

sound is supposed to be acl888 but i dunno if its correct or not...

i installed osx using ipc 10.5.6 ppf5

i used the voodo kernel, installed the hd 3650 driver (i think that my video card isnt supported), did a few patches like the ACIPI patch and the cups=1, and according to another wiki with my computer listed on it, i use the LegacyAppleIntelPIIATA for the chipset...

anyways i found this other post with the correct drivers assuming that is what the problem is...

its near the bottom...

how would i install the proper drivers? i have no clue, does my install of osx actally need to boot up for me to do this or do i do something else? i have no clue what kext is so please noobify it for me. or what would you reccomend i do to get this to work?
