Battery's estimated time won't be altered no matter what I do

Hello peeps :-)

So I installed Mac OS X 10.5.2 on my Acer Aspire 4315 (1.73GHz + 2GB RAM) with vanilla kernel through Leo4Allv3 distro couple of months ago. I have installed a couple of drivers - now EVERYTHING works (yes, and even my wifi card atheros AR5007EG through the -f flag and the kismac method). The only problem I am having is my battery. I have selected the option of power management when I was installing - I get the battery icon and everything, but I have several problems when the battery meter estimates how much time do I have left.

1. If i started up my laptop with the cable plugged in, then it will incorrectly show me almost the double the time I should have left.

2. Even when I start up laptop without the power cord, I have a problem. It shows an estimated time at the beginning, but no matter how much I make my computer do (from keynote to game), the variation doesn't change - you can compare it to a mathematical function (where x = time passed and y = time left)

YELP ?! :)
