Garo
Hey I have this laptop model and I accidentally wrecked it using windows so I used the old iATKOS v2.0 disc I made a while ago to Macify it because I had nothing to lose, and it worked really easily with the standard install But a couple issues: Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG does not work (tried a driver thing didn't work) No sleep mode (display won't turn back on) Can't update OS using Mac's software update or I get kernel panic Seems to get kinda hot... No garageband no boot camp Otherwise it's AMAZING and I'm rather happy with mac OS in general, and stuff, so I have a HUGE THANKS to everyone who created this entire amazing mac pc project! NOW I have a couple questions I'd really appreciate being answered: I used iatkos disc utility to partition it into 3 things, one MS DOS windows (whenever I get the recovery disc), one MAC iatkos deal, and one mac journaled written Storage drive so I can transfer between the two of them, is that smart? Anyway, what's the difference between kalyway and iatkos (probably a noob question...) but should I follow this guide or just use that driver pack? I don't know the mechanics behind this, nor do I know how to edit kexts. So can someone tell me the right direction?
Garo
All right, I just followed the whole tutorial and I'd like to thank you, it works pretty good! A few things for people that want to use this tutorial also: START with windows install, then do the gparted. When you do the "install in windows" you need MacDrive, a program (google it) to move these files over. when he says "all the audio drivers," he actually means it. Get all the soundcard drivers because it works.
