Hi,

I have spent the last couple of days trawling for answers to these questions but have had no luck.

Firstly, I have a partially successful install using the iPC 10.5.6 DVD. I have the video working okay, though the machine says X3100 rather than X3000.

After the install, I ran into issues running any video media file, either in Quicktime or VLC. I replaced the OpenGL.framework folder in /System/Library/Framework directory. This allowed me to open video files in Quicktime and VLC however in QT the video splutters along and in VLC I get only audio and no video output at all, though the video display is there, just blank...

I've tried all sorts of settings with the programs to get these to work but had no luck. DVD Player throws up the following error when I try to start it: There was an initialization error - A valid video device could no be found for playback. [-70017].

Has anyone else encountered issues like these? Is it drivers problems? Any help would be much appreciated.

Also, I normally would be using a discrete display adaptor, ATI x800 SE. However there don't appear to be any drivers for it. When manually setting the resolution to 1920x1200 it always defaults back to 1600x1200. Strange...

Thanks for you help!
