Zath_ Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 Hey all, I've been experiencing somewhat of an odd issue on my ipc 10.5.7 OSX 86 installation. I'm using a GA P35C-DS3R motherboard with an onboard Gigabit RTL8111BL NIC. When plugged into my 100Mbit router this works just fine. When plugged into the 1000Mbit router, it indicates that the network cable is not plugged in. I have another NIC in my system, a PCI 100Mbit 3Com card in which both cables work just fine. Every combination works, 100mbit/1000mbit + 3Com, 100mbit+ Realtek except 1000mbit+realtek it seems. Setting the Ethernet settings to 100Mbit manually, whether its half/full duplex also makes it work. I've already tried installing different drivers, trying to manually switch the device on with ifconfig and removing/resetting the device with OSX86tools. The strange thing is that it works fine, just not on my 1Gbit network (D-Link router). Any thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
